Role Overview

We’re looking for an Account Director who can lead client relationships with confidence, clarity, and perspective, while guiding teams to deliver thoughtful, high-quality, social-first work.

You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, execution, and client partnership. This role requires strong judgment, cultural fluency, and the ability to steer both conversations and teams in fast-moving environments. You should be comfortable owning senior client relationships, shaping direction, and ensuring work lands with impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and lead senior client relationships, acting as a strategic partner and primary point of escalation
  • Guide clients on social-first and integrated digital strategies grounded in culture, insight, and performance
  • Partner with Strategy, Creative, and Production leads to shape strong ideas and clear approaches
  • Oversee multiple accounts and projects, ensuring quality, consistency, and commercial health
  • Lead, coach, and develop Account Managers and Senior Account Managers
  • Provide clear direction, feedback, and support to account teams to help them grow
  • Ensure campaigns are well-planned, well-executed, and aligned to client objectives
  • Oversee budgets, scopes, and resourcing to ensure work is delivered efficiently and sustainably
  • Review performance reporting and help translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts, including upsells, renewals, and expanded scopes
  • Support business development efforts through strategic input, pitches, and presentations
  • Stay closely connected to Gloo’s capabilities and the evolving social, influencer, and digital landscape
  • Uphold high standards of client service, internal collaboration, and delivery excellence
  • Qualifications & Expectations
  • Significant agency experience, with proven leadership of client accounts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in advertising, communications, or digital marketing
  • Demonstrated strength in:
    • Senior client relationship management
    • Social and digital strategy
    • Influencer and KOL ecosystems
    • Integrated campaign delivery
    • Team leadership and mentorship
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making sound decisions in fast-paced environments
  • Calm, credible, and solutions-oriented leadership style
