Social Media Executive

Role Overview

Gloo is looking for a social media executive who lives on the platforms rather than just posting to them. This is a hands-on role: some days you are building out a month of content across four brands, others you are in the comments at 7pm because a post is doing something interesting and the window is now.

Instinct is the core requirement. Comfort moving between TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and whatever launched last quarter, matching the tone to the platform rather than flattening one asset across all of them. You will join an award-winning team working with some of Singapore’s most socially-savvy brands, and be equipped with enterprise listening tools, software, training and coaching, an in-house creative and production team, and a system built to keep your work visible and on track.

A genuine interest in and passion for internet culture will be key to succeeding in this role. We are not looking for someone who can describe a trend. We are looking for someone who saw it first.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day social execution across assigned brands: scheduling, publishing, and on-platform quality control
  • Work with content team to bring to life platform-native copy and caption variants, and brief the creative team with enough context that the asset comes back right the first time
  • Run community management: replies, DMs, comment moderation, and escalation of anything that needs a human decision
  • Monitor trends, sounds, formats, and cultural moments daily, and flag the ones worth hijacking while they still matter (we use enterprise software like Brandwatch!)
  • Build and maintain content calendars, keeping them accurate for the client, the team, and yourself, using our in-house project management tools and comms processes and systems.
  • Pull, read, and report on performance: what worked, what did not, and what you would change next cycle. Creativity and social-mindedness is a baseline requirement; understanding the data behind the creative is the next-level we’re looking for.
  • Support paid amplification handoffs, ensuring organic and paid do not contradict each other, working closely with our paid media team on social campaigns and tactical amplification
  • Partner with strategy, design, production, and KOL teams to translate concepts into shipped posts, while keeping social objectives and the brand guidelines in mind
Qualifications & Expectations

Experience Required

  • 1–4 years minimum in social media, community management, content, or a comparable role
  • Fresh graduates with a demonstrable body of work — personal accounts included — will be considered
  • Agency experience is an advantage, not a requirement

Platform Competency

  • TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and an informed view on emerging platforms
  • Native scheduling and publishing tools, plus at least one third-party platform (Sprout, Later, Hootsuite or similar)
  • Practical grasp of what each platform rewards, and what quietly kills reach
  • Comfortable reading analytics and turning numbers into a decision, not just a screenshot

Comfortable With

  • Working remotely with real autonomy, and the discipline that requires
  • Managing multiple brands with different voices without blending them
  • Writing fast, in-voice, and being edited
  • Light asset work (trimming, subtitling, resizing) enough to keep momentum without waiting on the queue
  • Being the first responder when something moves outside a neat schedule

Strong Understanding Of

  • Internet culture and how meaning shifts between communities
  • Brand safety and the line between on-the-pulse and off-brand
  • How social contributes commercially, not just to engagement counts
  • Singapore and Southeast Asian audience nuance, or the appetite to learn it quickly
  • Social listening, community management, social outreach

Additional Skills

  • Meticulous focus and project organisation
  • Ability to juggle several brands at different stages of a cycle
  • Rapid adjustment when a calendar changes shape mid-week
  • Clear written communication across time zones and threads

Community management depth, copywriting ability, and a strong personal body of work represent valuable assets.

How We Work

Two things we ask of everyone, and of you:

  • We are changemakers. If you see a problem, bring it up, but bring a solution along.
  • Better than yesterday. You are expected to get better, and we are expected to give you the systems, processes, and mentorship to do it.
  • Human-first. In a world of AI, we stay painstakingly human, in our work, our approach and our mindset.
