The Ask

As part of Olympic Esports Week (OEW), we were tasked to create 2 videos for 2 international creators. These videos are created in collaboration with OEW, Singapore Tourism Board and Singapore Airlines.

The Solution

We conceptualised two videos that showcase Singapore as a world-class destination, connected by the world's best airline, while showcasing a wide range of experiences and our ability to host headline international events. We also sought to make sure that the videos were not just "another tourism board video", leveraging on the unique angle of inviting leading Twitch streamers, and shot and produced to appeal to their specific audiences.

As both invited creators @sushibae (395k on Twitch) and @loserfruit (2.9m on Twitch) are gaming-centric KOLs, we conceptualised our videos to portray Singapore as a real-life game, requiring them to visit locations as quests, or to collect achievements throughout their journey.

In Waylon's (@sushibae) video, he explores different locations/levels in Singapore to unlock the Olympic Esports Week. In order to suit his playful and adventurous personality, we curated locations and experiences that were exciting, action-packed, and engaged all his senses. Locations featured included Jewel Changi Airport bouncing nets, Lau Pa Sat, Sneakertopia exhibition at the Art Science Museum and iFly Singapore.

In Kathleen's (@loserfruit) video, she collects different digital tokens from various locations in Singapore to unlock the Olympic Esports Week. In line with her sweet and bright personality, her locations were all about showcasing the vibrant colours of Singapore -- locations included Gardens By The Bay, Joo Chiat, and Haji Lane, and local fusion Indian restaurant ADDA.

Both videos culminate at the Olympic Esports Week after an exciting two full days of exploring Singapore. They then explore, partake and spectate various Esports activities, games and competitions; watching world-champions battle it out on the international stage. The experience is capped off with a world-class send-off by Singapore Airlines.
